@AVADanceCompany DanceWeb is a partial scholarship and the organisation gives support to find partnership funding. Dancers have received professional development funding from Arts Councils to attend.
Looking to travel and learn for a bit. Dancers and choreographers have until 15 December 2023 to apply for the five-week danceWEB and ATLAS training programmes as part of ImPulsTanz 2024.

The Work Room's guide was co-created by a group of their members collectively exploring strategies to working in dance while also improvising the choreography of parenting.
Check it out!
Have you read @the_work_room's Choreography of Parenting yet?
Returning to work after becoming a parent is a balancing act, and as comrades it's crucial we all educate ourselves on issues impacting our peers so we can better stand together.
https://t.co/zioUb7wSHS
For freelancers parenting can be hugely complex, and for dance artists this can include the additional pressure of the impact on the body and returning to a physical practice.
If we want to nourish an equitable dance sector, it's important that we all consider this in our work.
Are you a dancer, choreographer or movement specialist who is facing issues at work? Remember, you can always contact @EquityUK for advice and support.

We don't expect anyone to get it right every time and we are happy to connect companies with experienced advocates for accessible practice to develop. However, this requires more than just words. If you want your work to be more diverse, you need to change how you work.
This morning we've noticed a few audition call outs that say they are open to D/deaf, disabled and neurodivergent dancers.
However, few of them really demonstrate that the audition space or the job would really be a welcoming, accessible workspace.
https://t.co/q29v4N52OA
It features guidance on reaching D/deaf, disabled and neurodiverse talent; how to make auditions and rehearsals accessible; and how to optimise working methods such as choreography and communication. The aim is to support dance companies until this process becomes second nature.
