This Rayburn is ready to go home! It’s got a really cool set of @_RighteousSound pickups (P90 + Tele), wired with a custom @gunstreetwiringshop harness.

Scars, knots and other imperfections make me happy. To quote Eric Hollenbeck from @blueoxmillworks (The Crafstman on @magnolianetwork), “the tree was perfect”… so what would be considered a flaw is really just part of its story. “Perfect” pieces are no fun.

This one is finally done. It had been stalled by unexpected delays, but I’m excited to send it off to its owner in Chicago.

Thanks to all who have supported me this far, especially with the year we’ve all had. Forward and onward, good people!

This Ashford has been patiently waiting while I had an unexpected pause in my schedule late last year. It feels so good to be back catching up on builds. The folks on my build list are the most patient customers in the world, and I’m so thankful.

One last photo of this one, as it’s on its way home to LA. These Righteous Sound Pickups sound amazing, and the wiring from Gunstreet Wiring Shop sure saved the day.
Video coming soon.

Carving the top of this Ashford with my great-grandfather’s tools. It’s been a huge honor to inherit tools like these from some pretty amazing people in my family, so I make sure to incorporate them as much as possible.

This is my dad, shaping transitions on the neck of his own guitar. When my folks came out to visit, he was able to press his own frets, and carve the neck using his grandfather’s tools too. This one will have some deep connections, and I’m grateful to include him in the process.
