@KevinRUE67 That regular expression is buggy for matching times, which it does, but also it matches stuff like "19:a3:v5". The words that appear in the character classes, are matched as characters, not words. So a rather teachable-moment for data science instructors...
Impressive, until you actually stop to read the regex -- which might match time-like strings, but also matches a bunch of other stuff too, like "19:a3:v5". Time for us all to set our bullshit detectors to full-power...
@ElephantEating I was shocked at good air-source heat pumps have become, e.g. Mitsubishi models with -5F minimum temps and COP >2.4 @ 5F. But now that I look again, it seems that mini-splits may be a lot better than ducted, wonder why?
@keenanisalive It would make magnificent material for a challenging final for a class -- spot the bullshit in the language model exposition of a topic.
I’ve got a point to make.
Women - how old were you when a man first exposed himself to you?
I’ll start.
I was 11 years old - when a man pulled out his penis in front of me and my two friends as we were walking on our street in Fairport, NY.
Now go!
@timtriche@ekernf01@nextflowio +1. You may have to write some groovy to process your table of tasks, but it’s not so bad and there’s a REPL you can hack in for experimentation. Airflow could be another alternative?
@ekernf01 Hmm yeah the preceding tweet thread has a “not even wrong” flavor to it, but who knows, maybe I’ll be eating crow when all the sudden one algorithm can dominate the entire domain, for n<1000 and p<100 or whatever it was that I just read…
@not_a_heather Hiker boxes are full of freeze dried meals early on, could just eat from those TBH. you’ll eventually hate whatever you premade and just crave iceberg lettuce and chicken tenders.
@kmpanthagani Look at that juicy age gradient in events: 10-fold higher in the 40-59 year olds vs 18-39. Sadly, I guess I’ll have to read the study to see if they used conditional logistic regression, otherwise shifts in vaccine prevalence by age is the obvious confounder.
And 6% is still cheap, historically! I don't know enough about monetary policy to say why it's happened to be the case the past 15 years... https://t.co/mtjT1PRHed
@SeattleStatSam I will credit, that some of the "evidence" against a lab leak has been quite uncompelling, and would happily consider evidence for a lab leak per se versus a "coverup."
@SeattleStatSam I've only spent a few brain cycles looking at the lab leak theories, which invariably get co-opted by sundry racists and/or nationalists. On the other hand, it's pan- zootic, infecting all sorts of mammals...
