Another year in the books so time for E’s 2024 Movie Lists!
A number of awards contender movies still to be widely released, but I have watched 149 movies this year, including 90 released in 2024.

*that* scene in e7 where you can see a war between old carmy and new carmy written across his face as he tries to keep his cool and find the “right” reaction without completely falling apart... career-best stuff
“…And I’m just happy to be at the table.”
And I’ll be happy when Carrie Coon walks on stage in September to collect her (long overdue) Emmy for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for The White Lotus. A stunning monologue that reaffirmed her status as the queen of HBO.
‘ANORA’ led the 2025 #Oscars with 5 WINS!
• Best Picture
• Best Director (Sean Baker)
• Best Actress (Mikey Madison)
• Best Original Screenplay
• Best Editing
These moments that come out of no where (in the first episode no less) are a constant reminder to me why I love the show so damn much.
Joe and Eva🙌🏼
#Survivor
This scene absolutely wrecked me. Eva coming to Joe in such a vulnerable state. And him not only reciprocating, but vowing that he is with her to the end #Survivor48
#TheBrutalist
The 2nd part lost some focus to me as more seems to get inserted into the film, but still appreciated it a ton. Amazing score. Brody, Pearce, and Jones crush these roles and each of them add so much complexity to an already rich movie. Thoroughly enjoyed

#TheBrutalist
It’s pretty remarkable this movie works at all. Over 3 1/2 hours, an intermission, about a foreign architect and his journey to America. All things that seem like they would not hook most viewers and yet I was engaged every second. The first part is really great.
#ABetterMan
A unique twist on the biopic musical genre to turn your lead into a CGI animal. In this sense, I think it works pretty well. Where it falls for me is how sterile and largely basic everything else becomes as a result. Still some fun to be had in pockets here
3/5
#ADifferentMan
Stan and Pearson both play off each other so well in this. Definitely clunky in some spots and a little uneven, but I enjoyed the journey and descent of Stan’s character. It’s funnier than I thought and has some interesting themes that carry the film
3/5
