@Scobleizer@IrenaCronin Nice piece. We have been focused on a verifiable trust layer at Bloomstack for a couple years now. It is a tricky problem but one worth solving. What good are super smart, super fast AIs if we don't trust them?
@thomvlieshout Everyone is working more than ever with AI whether they are excited doing it or burnt out. This is why we are hosting this today!! Join us FREE to help Build for Life

One talk I am looking forward to is with @Android_Jones tomorrow. Speaking with him today I learned this amazing artist, husband, father, thinks deeply about how AI is affecting the art scene and especially young artists just getting started. Join us tomorrow - link below.
@caps_raunak I feel ya! That's why we are hosting the AI Epidemic: Building for Life Summit with some great humans discussing how we can Build for Life. Come join us tomorrow. It's FREE!

I have to admit is was my wife, Damini, who was born and raised in India. When she arrived here she asked about our neighbors and I told her I didn't know them. "That won't do!" she said and promptly visited everyone with a gift of a plant, then veggies from our gardens. Now they are friends. :) In India they say your neighbors are your "First Family" because if you need anything or in an emergency, they are the first ones to help. It is ACTUAL "Social Security" without the government's "help".
@OPwoodsfree@Scobleizer I for one am working towards localism and rebuilding of villages that start with growing food. We started building a food forest 2 years ago and meeting all of our neighbors and sharing community. I have lived here for 15 years and didn't know my neighbors until 2 years ago!
@Bhavani_00007 The real question is will humans be able to steer this or will we give up and let AI steer for us? In fact, we are hosting an entire summit tomorrow to discuss with some brilliant minds. Join the discussion - it's FREE!

@araseb_ I'm just focused on what's possible to build for enhancing the human experience because it is the only one I can have. In fact, we are hosting an entire summit to discuss with a bunch of great minds tomorrow.

@monetaryreset@Scobleizer Sad but true. Now, if governments would just use all those tax dollars for something useful for the populations they are supposed to serve. Wishful thinking?
Tomorrow. Free.
@EricBDelisle has gathered a bunch of people for a virtual conference trying to answer how humans will deal as we go into the singularity.
I've been talking to many who are building the AI future, studying them, and talking with many others on audio spaces here on X.
I'm working on my speech today, which will be about 15 minutes.
Might be bombastic: "your humanoid will find your sex toys and guns within a few minutes of arriving in your home."
OK, it'll take a little longer than that, but not much. :-)
But mostly I'll be talking about all the poor parenting decisions I made parenting my kids, starting with giving them an iPad when they were a year and a half old. Now are 16 and 18.
I don't yet see glimmers of the next big tech titan in them, but that's OK.
Having a special needs kid meant giving up visions of having a super star kid.
He's turned into a super star in my own eyes, as I've watched him deal with challenges most of us haven't had to deal with.
And motivates me to find my own lane through this world and hopefully inspire them to find theirs.
Their lives are gonna be far more weird than ours were.
When I was their age we didn't have autonomous vehicles, lights with computers, AIs that we could argue about whether or not they are conscious, or satellites that spray the internet down to a white antenna. Among many other things.
They are gonna see robots become ubiquitous, brain computer interfaces that will let their minds perceive reality in ways that we can hardly imagine now, and AIs that will run literally everything in their lives (one already makes toast for them in the morning).
So much change has already hit, and we are in an exponential world, which means every year will see even more change than the year before. And not stop the rest of their lives.
Which is why I start with a humanoid robot cleaning a home in a decade. It freaks people out, gets their attention, but we need to prepare our minds for it.
Next week I'll be speaking about the same at @JoinEdgeCity and trying to do the same.
And I'll be doing the talk from San Francisco. A place that always makes me feel behind.
Which is a new problem: how do you deal with a world where you are always behind? Especially if you are like me and used to always being ahead (I wrote a book about social media a year before this Website started, for instance).
On the way to San Francisco tonight I'll be talking to Grok as our Tesla drives about all these issues.
What are you doing to deal with the change that keeps hitting harder and harder?
Meditation? Walks in a forest?
Or are you like one entrepreneur who told me last week: "just do things that are fun and you'll never burn out?"
Many don't have that privilege, I know. I visited slums around the world to see how difficult billions of people on earth have it compared to me.
Will try to bring that learning into the 15 minutes I've been gifted too.
We are super excited to have Robert Scoble, @Scobleizer opening the AI Epidemic: Building for Life Summit TOMORROW, June 11th on Gatherly. Robert has roots in Silicon Valley going back 4 decades and to this day he is sharing the future with us all.
FREE to join this incredible event has a fantastic lineup of speakers including Andrew Yang and Calum Chace following Robert. Next is Douglas Rushkoff and many more. Plus over 40 exhibitors with solutions and helpful knowledge to share from education to consciousness, tech to local movements.
This is NOT another BIGGER - BETTER - FASTER - AI Tech expo, but instead real humans coming together to have real conversations about the interesting times we all live in. To some it is even very scary. This summit will go beyond the hype and focus on builders and solutions to empower humanity, not extract from it.
Come join us... link in comments below.
@goyalshaliniuk Thatβs EXACTLY why we started building Bloomstack 4 years ago. We will show it to the world at this event on June 11th if you are interestedβ¦
