De VRT hield vol dat de herkomstcijfers uit De Foto van Vlaanderen "niet representatief" waren. Nu de ruwe data openbaar zijn en het stof is neergedwarreld, blijkt dat er wél duidelijke en statistisch significante verschillen bestaan rond gendertolerantie bij respondenten uit Noord-Afrika en het Midden-Oosten (en ook bij Oost-Europa). Dat weten we dankzij het statistisch rapport van @freekvdvelde.

Dat vermeende probleem met "representativiteit" was een smoesje, want het was in een handomdraai op te lossen: de VRT had immers zélf al een onderverdeling gemaakt per geografische regio.

Hoe ontstaat ideologische bias zonder samenzwering? En waarom werd religie niet eens bevraagd? Nabeschouwing over het verdwenen balkje, de vrijgegeven cijfers en de comfortabele narratieven over de "manosfeer" van media en experten.

Alle klassieke media verloren "plots" interesse in dit verhaal nadat het een wending nam die hen niet uitkwam. Alle drie grote kranten weigerden dit stuk. Daarom ben ik blij dat Doorbraak bestaat om de klassieke media uit te dagen.
