In Bryan/College Station (Texas) today meeting with other Emergency Services District (ESD) commissioners and fire chiefs at @TexasSAFED's Third Tuesday to discuss legislative issues at the state, regional, and local levels and prepare for the 2027 Texas Legislative session.
Last night, I had the opportunity to participate in the @KylePolice Citizens Police Academy. Over the next 10 weeks, our class will learn about the operations of the Kyle Police Department, how we can foster a working relationship with them, and better support our community.

In #WashingtonDC for work, which gave me an opportunity to tour the #NationalMall. I started at the Lincoln Memorial and saw every memorial between it and the Washington Monument. Then I walked to the @WhiteHouse. It made up for missing my 8th grade field trip because we moved.

This weekend, the Holen and Hopkins families met in Nampa ID to hold a remembrance for Amelia Esther Holen, my stepmother for 32 years, who passed away July 2023, and a celebration for Richard Holen, her husband and my dad, who helped raise 11 children across two families.
