@wen_tre Oh yes! There was one creature that had a really long beak and that could bring death. And I remember when I was younger my dad told me that owls were those, and that’s why I couldn’t play outside at night! (Now I know they have short beaks and they’re owls) 🙃

@KendallDodson20 Omg right! Like the energy in that moment was crazy. But I also get in the middle school mindset how that could be the end of the world. (But Charlie had bigger things!)

@KendallDodson20 Right! I feel like is she’d do much light on the mythological factor of the culture. Like i just have so much love for the fact this book has so brilliantly put these creatures into the realm of children’s books.

Lastly, we have a creature that I feel like I resonate with on a spiritual level. The Muki, which are like goblin creatures who live in caves throughout South America. however, they are usually found making some tricky deals with miners. #ASUreads #Leagueofshadows

Also, shoutout to my homie Charlie, because not only is he facing middle school, missing parents, and a boatload of supernatural issues, he himself is a morphling who is growing feathers and horns! I could barely handle braces. #asureads #leagueofshadows
