Deer is now back from butcher. Von Hanson's Meat in Chanhassen MN prepared 25# each of deer sticks & polish sausages. Very good! Next year?

Cleaning deer is difficult. They're quite large, and you're shaking from adrenalin. Not really knowing how, I think "its like a large bass".

Just got large doe. On full run at 100 yds. Need to clean her now. Am shaking! Could have shot two...there were 4 running in pack. No bucks.

I hunt with Savage 30.06 bolt action rifle. Walnut stock, traditional look. plastic stocks lighter, but look like toys. Its getting wet.

Cows are more active now, moving about in field. Correlation to deer? don't know, hope so. Usual deer stand has roof, but am standing.

Heard another hunter say he had deer tick, which spread very nasty diseases. Its Nov., fer christsake. If this global warming, give me snow!

Saw 4 deer last night on dark rural road, thought for sure would hit 2 of them. Would have filled limit, but seriuosly damaged Ford F150.

Deer hunting again in Minn. 40s & raining. QUIET for as far as I can hear, about 6 mile range. Corn still in fields, deer smiling in camp.

I use solid copper bullets that cost $2.50 each, so not sure our good gov's honor is worth that much. Didn't bring my lead bullets.
