Discharge planning starts Day 1. Discussing expectations/prognosis and setting goals. Helps with discharging patients later in care.

I know you're in pain but come on... reminding yourself they aren't there to piss you off helps. #patiencewiththepatient #tryingtohelp

@pemuhn any other signs of cancer referral? relentless, fatigue, etc., resting pain or only with walking? What did oncologist tell patient?

[Eric M Kim @ericmkSPT]

When your patient knows more about chronic pain than you do but shows signs of it... Makes for an interesting conversation.

[Eric M Kim @ericmkSPT]

@dposbic research probably just states how very effective it is, "negligent" sounds like an opinion haha. stuff we learned in class though

[Eric M Kim @ericmkSPT]

@dposbic sorry not CSM, some other seminars. You need to have the right equipment, and only to target quad activation/strength.

[Eric M Kim @ericmkSPT]

Per CI and a CSM seminar, NMES for quad activation s/p knee surgery is so effective that not doing it is considered "negligent" practice.

[Eric M Kim @ericmkSPT]

Referral for thigh pain, but c/o significant neck pain & radic @ eval. No more thigh pain. How would different settings approach this?

[Eric M Kim @ericmkSPT]

R>L diffuse throbbing LBP and diffuse bilateral sharp thigh pain, xray neg, slump/fnt neg. ext-rot sensitive, mainly butterfly swim. Ideas?

[Eric M Kim @ericmkSPT]

Work pants/belt too tight, limiting hip flexion and causing early PPT, contributing to LBP while sitting at work. #fashionPT
