How come Russia isn’t being held accountable for violating the “energy ceasefire” President Trump said he wanted Russia and Ukraine to abide by?
Russia fired 39 ballistic missiles into Ukraine last night, most of which targeted Ukriane’s energy facilities.
Putin is the Hitler of our time.
“Instead of the promised productivity increase via the bailout reforms, the Greek economy experienced the opposite: a sharp drop in labor productivity and a significant redistribution of employment toward low-productivity sectors.”
It is sickening that the USA is now lifting sanctions on Russian fuel, and transparently ridiculous to blame Ukraine for the spike in prices that obviously began with the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Putin is murdering innocent Ukrainian civilians every day. The Ukrainians are fighting for their lives. And yet the White House is apparently determined to force American drivers to bankroll Putin’s slaughter. It won’t work and I doubt it will make much difference to the price of fuel.
If we want Russian oil and gas back on the world market then let’s end this war - with a free, sovereign and independent Ukraine.
Here’s the real question: Why don’t you turn on Starlink over Russia so the Ukrainians can take out Russian ballistic missile launchers? One small action and you immediately save children from dying every day. Refusing to do so is like watching your friend die while you hold his EpiPen over him. It’s that simple.
A really funny possible outcome:
AI becomes spectacular at math, spinning "out of control" to produce results that far outstrip humanity's ability to understand them. It also still occasionally hallucinates, and verification can’t keep pace.
Billions of dollars in tokens later, we’ve produced 100× more mathematical literature than all of human history. An unknown fraction is wrong and we now face an existential crisis over the nature of mathematical reality itself.
There's over 33 billion molecules in each cubic micrometer here, with *each* molecule experiencing a trillion collisions per second.
Within that chaos, an exact sequence of interactions needs to be organized to produce a flagella and the 100,000 RPM motor that drives it.
