FKF referee Stephen Yiembe is part of the UEFA Super Cup officiating team as a result of a recent MOU signed between CAF and UEFA aimed at strengthening collaboration, growth and development of football across Europe and Africa.
The Sports Dispute Tribunal (SDT), in the Kariobangi Sharks vs FKF case 2026, recently ruled the FKF Rules and Regulations (revised 2025) were valid and approved by “the NEC which has the power to make the rules” despite the same tribunal declaring them invalid last year as “they were not ratified by the FKF general assembly.”
I understand the High Court said the appeals committee is where everything should have started. Justice Musyoka said the SDT bypassed the appeals committee.
However, a while back @TeyaKevin reported that “the Tribunal ruled that the FKF Disciplinary Committee, in its current form, is illegal and cannot adjudicate any matters because it has not been ratified by the FKF General Assembly.”
I understand there's still another case at the High Court on the same issue.
