Goooooooooooood morning! Retweet this if you're up early and watching big runners from yesterday like $LASE $SNGX $LIDR $IOVA and seeing if they can take out the previous highs to really squeeze over-aggressive shorts....who's awake and ready to learn and capitalize from this volatility?!?!?
WOWOWOW $XPON up to 3.13, up nearly $1/share from my tweet just 25 minutes ago...as usual I sold too soon, but https://t.co/occ8wKmlgm students are bankinggggggg....what a week with this after $ATNF $BSLK whewwww, small or big gains, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU SHOULD BE BANKING!
You buy a stock at $12.20 because it’s surging. It looks strong. You set your stop at $11.90. Minutes later, the stock pulls back to $11.85 stops you out and then rips to $13.50 without you.
This isn’t bad luck.
It’s a poor entry.
You bought into momentum, but not into structure. The stock was extended from key support levels like the 9EMA, VWAP, or prior consolidation. That pullback to $11.85? That’s where real demand stepped in. And that’s where your entry should’ve been.
The entry is the foundation of every trade.
If your entry is late, emotional, or poorly planned, you’re building a position on unstable ground. Every pullback becomes a threat. Every candle becomes stressful. And worst of all—you get shaken out just before the real move.
It’s counterintuitive, but the best entries often come when it feels uncomfortable to buy:
•On pullbacks toward rising support
•During consolidation
•After a fake breakdown
•Right at VWAP when it’s holding
Traders often feel safer buying rips—but that’s where risk is highest. The chart looks great, but the probability of a pullback is high.
A better way to enter:
•Wait for the stock to pull back into a demand zone (e.g., 9EMA, VWAP, prior breakout level)
•Look for signs of support holding: wicks, volume absorption, higher lows
•Enter with a defined stop just under the support
Now you’re in with tight risk, structure behind you, and room to let the trade work.
📌 Remember:
Precision on the entry reduces stress, improves your risk/reward, and gives you the conviction to hold through noise.
Get the entry right, and everything else becomes easier.
BREAKING: The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority is looking to rework the “pattern day trading” rule that limits investors with less than $25,000 in their margin account from borrowing to trade four or more times in a five-day period.
In a proposal being prepared for Finra’s board to eventually vote on, retail investors would need to have only $2,000 in their accounts for such trades.
