Everyone “works hard.” Everyone lifts. Everyone trains.
The separator?
Who executes when the game speeds up.
Who throws strikes when it matters.
Who produces when nobody cares about exit velo tweets, when Trackman isn’t watching, and it’s 3-2, bases loaded, season on the line.
This is GOLD
“You aren’t always going to be liked as a head coach but if you are always honest, and tell the truth, you will always have their respect”

With the win, the Diamond Hornets earn a share of the 2025 Shenandoah 👑. This is the 5th consecutive district banner for the Green Hornets!
This is what an elite championship approach feels like. Be more mentally exhausted than physically tired. Get the work in. Interesting that even though the Dodgers are labeled as a data driven team Doc doesn't even hint at that. You need an elite mind set
HARD WORKING.
Champion.
Passionate.
Our ♥️’s are heavy tonight, as we mourn the loss of 🐝 Teacher & Head Baseball coach Rodney Cullen. Cullen led the storied WMHS baseball program to 188 victories, and the 2013 VHSL State Championship.
🙏 to his family, students, & athletes.

🚨 Baseball is a Frustrating Game!
• The work often isn’t reflected in the results…
• All you can control is your response to the “bad days”
⭐️ Keep showing up. Keep stacking days of hard work and laser focus. Keep being inevitable!
‼️ HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL PLAYERS ‼️
Let's talk about what College Baseball actually looks like from a time commitment standpoint. I think this is something that gets overlooked far too often when players are considering what's important to them in picking a school.
🧵⬇️..
Hitting the MOST buckets of balls doesn’t mean you’ll hit well in games
(Yes, I was that guy too, trust me)
Hitters who RAKE in game..
Hit it w/ conviction + belief (Body language, presence)
Build belief with reps, not just do reps
Build WATCH THIS type attitude
Understanding ground force in hitting is essential for power
Work from the ground up is a cue often thrown around with very little understanding of meaning. The importance of holding the ground while coiling will allow efficient flow of energy up through the body, but not if you release the starting source too soon.
So often you see hitters think they are working from the ground up and lose contact with the ground and thus loosing their kinetic energy which includes their power and their adjustability.
Use the ground and hold the ground to create significant whip in your barrel.
