These boys have fielded questions like….are there cows everywhere? Do you drive tractors to school?We smile and let our golf do the talking. Nebraska high school golf is amongst the best in the National and to be able to show our country this week has been an honor!

Here is a simple mindset that can work for a golfer of any level.

Approach each round with neutral scoring expectations

Don't tee off thinking you want to shoot X score.

Instead, commit to things like:

• Being grateful you get to play and soaking in the experience
• Going through a routine on every shot
• Doing your best to pick smart targets and commit to them

Identify your wins

It's so easy to gloss over the good shots you're hitting.

When you knock it to 15-20 feet on an approach shot, hit a solid drive, or make an 8-footer. Take some ownership of that!

Analyze your "mistakes"

If you hit an errant tee shot, take a second to think about what happened instead of scolding yourself.

Ask some questions:

• Was it a strategic error?
• Were you just not committed?
• Was it simply a reasonable variance in your shot patterns?

This simple act can totally shift your mood.
