🇺🇦🇫🇷 Ukraine and France are discussing strengthening Ukraine's air defense system, including the accelerated procurement of radars and an additional supply of Aster-30 long-range missiles for the SAMP/T air defense system.

These issues were discussed by Defense Minister Fedorov and French Minister of the Armed Forces.

Radars are a key element of the air defense system, as they ensure the timely detection and tracking of targets.

Therefore, Ukraine expects to expedite their procurement through an EU loan by the end of this year.

Aster-30 missiles for the SAMP/T systems, capable of effectively countering air and, depending on the modification, missile threats, including ballistic missiles, remain an urgent priority.

The parties also separately discussed the possible supply of the SAMP/T NG, a new version of the Franco-Italian medium- and long-range system.

Furthermore, the discussion focused on expanding industrial cooperation: increasing drone production as part of Ukrainian-French cooperation and the possible localization of French weapons production in Ukraine.
