Erika's Here and It's Weird

I'm just an analog girl in a digital world. Garden-variety hospital M/S RN. Arch-nemesis of the Pyxis.

Detoxing pt on Ativan taper after witnessed pre-admit seizure wandering away from nurses' station after being temporarily convinced not to leave AMA: Some of us have jobs, you know.

Nursing staff: 🙃🙃🙃 What are these jaahbs you speak of?

I'm a Pats girl and have nothing to be proud of at the moment, but at least we aren't wearing pajama unis like Detroit. Srsly, who approved the grey monstrosities?

I'm just gonna say it - the new #IndianaJones movie is a lot of fun. It's not a touchstone of cinema, but it's a great summer movie. If you grew up watching the old IJ movies on VHS, you'll be happy.

YouTubed my fave song from TLM (haven't seen the live action yet) to see how Melissa McCarthy did only to find out we were denied QUEEN LATIFAH as Ursula? How did I not know about this? WTF??? https://t.co/fOkWdbJbp8 via @YouTube

The best nurses to work with are the ones who are chill and have your back when shit is going down. I think this is also the hardest kind of nurse to be. I aspire. #nurselife

Went to renew my dog's license at my little town hall. They were listening to an elevator music version of NIN's "Hurt." #incongruous #smalltown

I've never been a #swiftie but damn if "It's me, hi, I'm the problem, it's me" isn't fucking relatable #TaylorSwift #antihero

When a random FB mutual reminds you how amazing Hadestown is, so you randomly buy tickets because it is in town.

So, #Jordan's are great but, realistically #AirForceOne is more comfortable. Honest #Nike review. Still both amazing shoes!!!

I judge people who don't read books. I also judge you if you're all about some author, but not the same way I JUDGE you if you're the kind of person who thinks it's a point of pride to not READ BOOKS. Like, fuck you, unless you are dyslexic or otherwise disabled from reading.

Based only on movies I've actually seen for 2022, my faves are #BlackPantherWakandaForever #TheWhale #TheBansheesofInisherin and #EverythingEverywhereAllAtOnce I'm willing to watch others on recommendations. And #Titanic on repeat, because I am still apparently 13.

[Erika's Here and It's Weird @Erikas_here]

@NewOldRN You gotta be thicc to use the wick.

[Erika's Here and It's Weird @Erikas_here]

I may no longer be a teenage girl, but #Titanic in theaters takes me right back there.

[Erika's Here and It's Weird @Erikas_here]

Speaking as a nerdy fan-girl bitch who saw #Titanic in theaters 6 times during its original run, yes, I am absolutely going to see it again now. And I will cry, though I don't know which moment will set off the waterworks. The couple in the bed? The band? The door? Who knows?

[Erika's Here and It's Weird @Erikas_here]

What if #BlackPanther movies had come out in the 90s when #JanetJackson was at her peak? Imagine the soundtracks!!!

[Erika's Here and It's Weird @Erikas_here]

@LakotaMan1 I am thankful you choose to educate us about the history of Native people that would otherwise be ignored/forgotten.

[Erika's Here and It's Weird @Erikas_here]

Why is the hospital that I work for sending me letters asking me to donate money to them, the hospital I work for?

[Erika's Here and It's Weird @Erikas_here]

While I love #ChristmasStory and #MuppetChristmasCarol Christmas will never be complete without #EmmetOtter as well.

Three 12s, two deceased CMOs. How's your week going? #nurselife

It may be halftime, but imma bout to run onto the balcony of the Casa Rosada to sing "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" in a minute...
