@ScottHevel@Don_K_Williams Being the contrarian. How many people kick a ball with their left foot and have their left arm pointing straight out in front of them at the same time. That would be very awkward and unbalanced position to be in. IMO this is not a natural body position.
@IGunworks@Don_K_Williams You’re now left with a foul and need to consider SPA and DOGSO. The defender is close enough that it is borderline DOGSO - SPA. I would award a DFK and yellow.
@IGunworks@Don_K_Williams He kicks the ball with his left foot and it hits his outstretched left arm. That is not natural body position to have your left foot and left arm both going forward at the same time - look at how awkward it looks. IMO it’s not a natural body position justified by his movement
@IGunworks@Don_K_Williams Additionally, IFAB considerations for coming off a legal part of your body describe it as a deflection, this was not a deflection, but a kick. So the deflection consideration is gone.
@Don_K_Williams IFAB law considerations. It’s a kick, not a deflection. The arm position makes the body unnaturally larger and can’t be justified by the body motion. This is a handling foul with a DFK. Then decide if it’s SPA or DOGSO. There is a close defender. So it is SPA with a yellow card.
@Don_K_Williams It’s already that way. Homegrown is a 12 month commitment with not enough time for HS soccer. Academy divisions are 7-8 months with the HS season off.
@j_g_allen My doctor won’t allow me to get the vaccine :(
I’ve had shingles twice in 3 years (at 49 and 52). Insanely painful. Doc believes it will confer no benefit given the recent active infections.
I’m glad you get to avoid that trauma.
@Don_K_Williams The scientists just gave up banging their head against a wall trying to educate the public. The vacuum they left by stepping away has now been filled by the grifters. There is ample evidence to counter most points on that list. There is just no one left to try and explain it.
@Don_K_Williams@Emisun01 FYI. Law 16 - the goal kick.
A goal may be scored directly from a goal kick, but only against the opposing team; if the ball directly enters the kicker’s goal a corner kick is awarded to the opponents.
@Don_K_Williams No foul.
Force and speed coming into the challenge was appropriate for both players. It was a 50/50 ball, keeper got the touch at or just before the collision.
In youth league, probably a foul on the field player. In anything 16+ I’m letting that go.
@JAYVERSACE Cooking of food makes about 30% more of the calories in that food available to power your body. With more calories available from the same amount of food, we could divert some of those excess calories to brain growth and function (also to growth). So we got bigger and smarter.
