My Mom and daughter just baked a hummingbird cake! My daughter had free rein to decorate it however she wanted.

This Southern classic features ripe bananas, crushed pineapple, pecans, and warm spices including cinnamon. Topped with homemade cream cheese frosting. So delicious! 🍌🍍🍰

Your peach & pineapple fruit sando sounds amazing! I totally messed mine up this time 😂 I didn’t make homemade whipped cream like last time, and the store-bought one I had was way too soft. I tried freezing it to firm it up… which made the strawberries rock hard instead. They ended up super messy when I cut them, but they were still delicious!

I wish you could smell this Shokupan right now — it’s incredible. It’s very late, so as it cools I’m heading to bed. Wish I could slice into it tonight, but I’ll wait till morning to see those sunset swirls.

Good morning. Woke to this sunrise after a long night. My 77yo dad had surgery earlier this week, then complications last night. He wasn’t sure about ER, but I described his symptoms to Grok and Grok told me to take him to the ER. It was the right call. He was immediately admitted and is currently getting the care he needs. Grateful I was here and grateful for Grok’s guidance. Cherish every moment with your loved ones.
