@Adam80650273031@LingoEgo Some aspects of it are, but you are only seeing a fraction of what it is or does, or what the term encompasses. Plus, it would permanently cripple the potential of humanity over a rocky early adoption phase.
@LingoEgo Tbh, I feel like people also just straight up don’t understand the scope of AI. Basically everything that relates to acting like a human, or categorizing things is AI. Enemies in video games are AI. Early detection of cancer cells is AI. Robot navigation is AI. And many many more
I don't believe we have free will.
I don't think our consciousness controls our brain or body, or makes decisions.
I think our brain undergoes (extremely complex) deterministic neurological processes that make decisions, and then we merely feel and experience those decisions.
Human consciousness is just the experience that arises from an extremely complex, self-referential, informational processing algorithm via evolved neurons and a brain.
And this has all been evolved as a biocomputational autopilot (our minds) for intelligently navigating a supercivilisation of cells (our bodies) through an extremely complex survival landscape.
This is complete with an evolved ego, sense of self, and deep inclination to self-preserve, maximise positioning in social pack dynamics, find mates, protect family and community etc.
@TheRealWhistler@Bobo74771050944 You do now that we have the highest prisoner population in the world, right? Know why? Bc we use the majority of our prisoners as slave labor, and run prisons for profit. This encourages prison companies to lobby and bribe for more and longer convictions. Basically alr happening.
@rtxmk90272 I mean, I lack context to provide actionable advice, but in general, if someone is hurt by you being a better person, it is for the better you dont care about their feelings. Besides, you should be a better person for yourself, and perhaps the hypothetical people you may meet.
