One year ago, today, I started building Shooty Hoops as a tiny tool for me and my friends: pick regular season winners and instantly see how the conference tourney would shake out.
It wasn’t meant to become a whole “college hoops site,” but one by one the requests (and my curiosity) kept pulling it forward, and now it’s turned into what it is today.
I’m really grateful for everyone who’s used it, shared it, and sent feedback. Year 2, let’s cook. 🏀🚀
Your Shooty Hoops now runs on Favorites.
Choose teams → we customize the experience across the site so it’s easier to follow who you care about.
Bonus: no passwords. Magic link sign-in (or Google) because we’re adults with too many logins. 😂
seems like a few on this site have already heard of it, but I've been mixing a new site - https://t.co/5QBLiuWxau - into my CBB web rotation lately.
super fun site for CBB hoopheads. includes:
- current bracketology (with ability to simulate rest of season and project bracket)
- team pages with team/player "overalls"
- overall team/player/conference ratings
- daily CBB TV guide
- conference pages with projected standings, game schedule, etc.
- past NCAAT results
- and more
very user-friendly design as well. check it out!

Arizona has been converted over to our new ratings model. Here is how we see the rotation breaking down
Starters:
Jaden Bradley 85 OVR : Best player on the team right now, the vet holding the throne for Peat and Burries to hopefully become experienced and aggressive enough to snatch it from him. We can see JB's Off IQ of 94 is the highest on the team (check the reply img), a must have to counter balance all the youngsters on this team.
Koa Peat 84 OVR : Ready to take over. He has all the tools, just needs time to figure out when to assert himself, and also to expand his game further. In the mid range, or back to the basket, he can get you tough buckets.
Brayden Burries 82 OVR : He has the highest scoring & shooting (94 & 95) marks on the team with his sweet jumper, and smooth offensive style. If he can pick up his game on the defensive end to be a complete player, he could be the X factor that leads this team farther than anyone expects.
Ivan Kharchenkov 82 OVR : He may not be actually starting, but he should be. He does everything well, and has a great understanding of what to do and when to do it, he's aggressive and makes things happen, but he also knows when to take a back seat. He also has shown a great knack to be in the right place defensively and recover well. Arizona, do the right thing, start the man.
Motiejus Krivas 81 OVR : We think he is going to make another leap this year, his offensive game keeps expanding and his connection w/ JB is going to really pay off. He can improve on his def awareness but he is one tall tree.
