I know this is about to sound like the biggest self glaze ever, but at this point, it is what it is. I waited three years to say this to the Wuthering Waves Community.

There is likely far more to the game some of you’ve been playing for 2+ Years and it’s okay if you haven’t picked up on it yet. I highly encourage you to give the lore a solid look chance.

I know some of you may think …

“the story is so simple, it’s not that deep so I don’t need to watch lore content”

Well you’re half correct. The story actually is deep, but it’s also simple. In fact, that’s the hallmark of good writing. Being able to present something in a way that is easy enough to understand while also having depth.

You do not have to watch lore content, but what I will say is that it improves the experience dramatically when you understand all the things that are happening. I can say this from experience not only with Wuthering Waves, but many other games.

I’m not just saying this, just to say it by the way. I can’t begin to count the amount of comments I’ve gotten all my videos of people who were surprised at how much they didn’t know about the game.

I’ve been sponsored by Kuro for the Devs for WuWa for the last year to make lore content.

Why? 2 Reasons that I can think of.

1. They want to provide a way for the player base to engage with the game’s story and world in a deeper way if they so choose.

2. Because they recognized my videos were be well made, entertaining, and informative.

Shout out to this person for being willing to overlook their initial bias. I’m personally not a gacha system defender.
However,
I know a good story when I see one.
I know enjoyable combat when I play it.
I know good music when I hear it.
(I even went to school for it, but that’s besides the point)
I know effort when I see it.
Wuthering Waves is unfortunately a game that’s held back by the genre that it exists in. Being a free to play a game is definitely one of its greatest strengths, but being in the Gacha genre makes it to where a lot of people are going to judge it preemptively. In conclusion, those who do give it a try often times are pleasantly surprised at how much of a game WuWa truly is and not some money farm with pixels. Journey Well Newcomers! 🫡
