And that’s a wrap! 🚅✨🎉
We are overwhelmed at the support and welcoming faces we met this week, both at our stand, in the press centre and across the 27 halls of @InnoTrans!
What a week we had, showcasing a European industry on the cusp of a dynamic transformation.
At UNIFE’s stand, many attendees had the opportunity to engage in virtual reality, while also hosting several key events on the future of rail #cybersecurity and the future rail communications system #FRMCS.
UNIFE’s programme also had a focus on the future of the industry, including boosting inclusivity and the role of women, as the industry diversifies and reflects the wider public.
We successfully unveiled the 10th edition of the World Rail Market Study, detailing the positive horizon the sector is working towards, with a detailed forecast suggesting the global market is expected to grow by 3% annually in real terms for the rest of the decade.
Elsewhere, we held press conferences and successful sessions on #
Cybersecurity, #FRMCS, #ERTMS and the Western Balkans, while also meeting with several international and European delegations.
We made time to also speak and meet with as many members – new, old and potentially in the future – as possible.
The entire UNIFE Team and our Director General Enno Wiebe want to thank organisers and the many thousands of attendees who showed a keen interest in UNIFE’s activity and offering at InnoTrans 2024.
We’ll see you again at #InnoTrans2026.

Sector declaration signed by the ERTMS Stakeholder Platform Board
UNIFE remains committed to make @ERTMS a success story.
To ensure a coordinated approach, the ERTMS Stakeholder Platform Board ensures an overall coordination, alignment and promotion of the deployment & implementation of #ERTMS, with the objective of creating the Single European Railway Area.
In order to formalise the agreed target areas and objectives, a joint declaration has been signed today @InnoTrans.
This important milestone demonstrates the achievement of a common understanding by the sector organisations, and how the sector should evolve from a strategic point of view.
UNIFE and its technical body UNISIG are members of the Platform, having supported the objectives actively from the beginning, and bringing in the perspective of the European Railway Supply industry.
The ERTMS Stakeholder Platform is composed of high level representatives of the Representative Bodies, co-chaired by @Transport_EU & @ERA_railways
