This is peak comedy. Do you know who actually attended Juventus renewal meeting for Vlahović?
Vlahović himself stepped up to negotiate directly with Comolli—"for the first time in history, I think, that a player handles his own contract renewal negotiations."
The player negotiated by himself, which tells you exactly how desperately Vlahović wanted to stay at Juventus.
He asked for €8 million in salary alongside a €6 million signing-on fee.
All he needed to hear to sign was €7 million in salary plus a €5 million signing-on fee, and the deal would have been sealed.
Instead, Comolli chased him away. He told him: "The absolute limit is 6 and 4." 😄 He literally lost the player over a mere €1 million salary difference!
It could have easily been wrapped up at a €7 million salary and a €5 million signing-on fee, and this whole saga would be over.
That failure Comolli threw Vlahović away over a €1 million annual difference, just so he could proudly say that Juventus's strict wage cap remains €6 million.
What kind of absolute failure is this????

Did the Juventus management refuse to renew Vlahović’s contract because they are going to buy Erling Haaland instead? No, Juventus is not signing Haaland.
Then who are they going to buy? They will sign a striker who accepts a lower salary than what Vlahović demanded.
