Today marks the launch of the expansion of the Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP)!  Effective today, people in Ontario ages 40 to 49 who are otherwise eligible, can self-refer for breast cancer screening in the OBSP.

Ontario Health (Cancer Care Ontario) is pleased to announce that on October 8, 2024, the Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP) will be expanding to offer breast cancer screening to people ages 40 to 49.

Cervical cancer starts in the cells of the cervix. It occurs when abnormal cells grow in a way that can invade or spread to other parts of the body.
Human papillomavirus (HPV) causes cervical cancer and HPV infections cause cell changes in the cervix that may turn into cancer.

July 27th is World Head and Neck Cancer Day.
Tobacco and alcohol use are two of the greatest risk factors for head neck cancers.

Sarcomas are considered rare cancer, so sometimes they don't have enough awareness. July we want to spread awareness about these cancers that affect bones and connective tissues. People of all ages, including children can be affected.
