@MCLaMagna Sometimes I am coming home to SFO on an early morning flight so I can get an extra hotel night near the originating airport. If I’m flying to work, I don’t drink; unless I’m connecting and it’s my first flight leg.
@adamnfurman@Archi_icons I do think the Doubletree hotel in Billings, Montana is taller. I stayed there last year and the walls are definitely masonry construction and load bearing.

CA HSR should build whatever minimum infrastructure is needed to connect their initial segment to Metrolink and Caltrain and just start running LA-SF trains using Amtrak/Caltrans chargers at 125mph while continuing to build the HSR alignment
The implosion of Geneva Towers. San Francisco, 1998.
They were built in 1967 as a private apartment complex but failed to attract renters so they were turned into public housing. Over the years as the owners failed to maintain the property, the complex fell apart.
Conditions got so bad there that the feds took it over in 1991. The buildings were demolished on May 16, 1998.
