@MattVincenziPGA@JoelMBeall Just gonna play a little devils advocate here. No real stance on the tours, I just want what’s the best for golf. But recent bias shows this comment to be correct. LIV’s “big time new” signing was the up and coming Michael LaSasso who has 5 starts & 5 MC on the PGA Tour…
Connections and network really do take you far in life.
Don’t burn any bridges or disrespect others, you never know when that one person might be able to help you out with what you need.
I think about Grayson Murray a lot. He was 30 years old, doing what most of us would consider a dream job, yet wasn’t happy.
I used to believe that you could ‘outwork’ depression to a degree. I believed it was sitting in one’s room, alone, ruminating, eating food from a plastic bag or wrapper, playing video games or habitually online, doing work that was almost beneath you - and those are signs of a depressed person - no doubt.
The longer I live, the more people I see with kids that are still at home into their late 20’s. They may have a sibling or two that is a killer in life, accomplished, but they aren’t. They may have mild Autism or Asperger’s. They weren’t coddled or babied, they literally are just lost in life, can’t find their place in this world, can’t have meaningful relationships - and they suffer.
Going to the gym barely helps.
Goal setting is useless when you have nothing in the future to live for.
Talking it out helps, but it can’t fix the feeling inside of hopelessness.
I’ve learned to give more grace.
Don’t be so quick to judge what you don’t understand.
Be extra kind, many people are compliment and conversation starved.
Depression is hard on both the person suffering and the people who love them, yet feel utterly helpless.
I’m going to try and compliment a few extra people today. I hope you’ll do the same.
Call me any names you want but we can’t sell anyone else in the squad man, this is it. We stick together and support everyone until next season. Even if it means finishing in a bad position, our players are more important, keep them united and let them go through it together.YNWA
