@BeexoBrewers@HL_Alyx_NoVR when you are not trying to soak up the entire knowledge of all of humanity, you do not need big models to get a job done.
we are running these things on almost everything.
apple probaply runs some models for heartrate monitoring on your watch.
@BeexoBrewers@HL_Alyx_NoVR you are aware dlss is just ML models running in realtime?
every image recognision task (number plates, person/animal detection and classification etc.) all run on tiny arm cpu's on the device.
your phone runs images thru "ai" and has been for years.
@ptrschmdtnlsn@Cobra4Crypto its basically how every wifi switch for sockets or light switches power their ESB8266 chips.
and the reason why any flash tutorial warns you to never have line connected when flashing these devices.
@thedowd@albrorithm maybe, we don't need that.
the gorilla tag kids can be happy on quest. meanwhile steam players have a cool device they can play games and tinker with.
We don't need another attempt of "mass adoption" we just need good stuff that works for the people that use it and build on that.
@SkarredGhost with the constraints "Target Price less than index" and "not loosing money on purchase"
yes, i do believe they wouldn't have been able to fit microoled in there, not while also optimizing for persistance and getting above 100nits thru the lenses and staying below 1000$
@ScorchMate@eyeziiick I do not give a fuck about the info these boxes try to convey.
I do give a fuck about the uninteresting "info" cluttering a tool for communication and I remove people from using it at me, since I keep it on because I want people to be able to use it to talk to me.
@RegularSnoman @jwiechers@internetofshit i think you are an order of magnitude off.
16gb over 30 days / 2592000seconds
are 51.8kibit/s or 6.4kibyte/s
if you assume it only sends at night tho, thats 36 sessions of 8hour long 128kib/s datastreams, which is not a unreasonable amount for audio.
@davidhine99@zimm3rmann@m_franceschetti 16gb or 134.217.728 Kilobits
lets say 128kib/s audio and we'd get 36.4, 8Hour audio recordings...
i think you are onto something.

@lauraelle73@WallStreetMav of course this system that will be able to intercept any "private" communication will never ever be used outside of the original scope. like all the other "think of the children" rules governments made and then used for the war on drugs and petty crimes.
