I was out for a walk and just saw a guy picking up his girl from work on his motorcycle.

He had a country song on, and the refrain was “the way you look at me makes me smile.” It was so nice because she was walking out to him and smiling.

I hope that refrain lasts them forever.

@TomFX6 It really is sad. The other sad thing is that there is enough sugar in that small ice cream cone to kill a horse. I like my version much better good thing I saved half of it or I’d be in a sugar coma right now

I didn’t have enough heavy cream to make ice cream because shopping day is tomorrow. Went to the local Mackey’s Orchard ice cream stand get a cone.

@TomFX6 Yeah, I’ve tried spiralizing it too and nope just now replace pasta. But it is nice spiralized and tossed in butter and garlic.

So I got a flat of begonias today and they’re on sale for 15 bucks so that was a deal. Gave my neighbor a few because I had too many.

I can literally make 2 quarts of ice cream at home for $5.95 and all I got was a small cone for that much. Generous serving, but I saved half of it for tomorrow.

I said wait your menu says $3.95. She said there’s an up charge for hard ice cream. WTF?

@TomFX6 However, I’m in New Jersey and everybody has an abundance of tomatoes in September and they are giving them away. In addition to zucchini.

@TomFX6 I think that’s the problem because I always plan three. I never had a poor alone tomato plant.

Also, neither place has as much to choose from as they usually do. Perhaps this is why I got the begonias on sale, which was good for me however it says to me that people are either planting seeds or not buying anything extra.

Economic indicator… I live in an area where people plant gardens and flowers. I have been to the two local nurseries several times since April and there’s hardly anybody there and they are usually packed.

Oh, and my habanero is doing really nice. I bought a chocolate habanero this year. Can’t wait to see what those are like.!

String beans are up. Swiss chard is doing OK. Sweet peas are doing well. But I think my little grackle friend who keeps showing up ate my acorn squash seed so I put if you were in
