🚨Edna Staebler Families, please read this important information🚨 @espsParents

[Waterloo Region DSB @wrdsb]

Our social workers and @PsychologyWRDSB have created a monthly newsletter designed to share resources and community supports with #WRDSB families. This month of Caring/Coping/Connecting focuses on caring for ourselves as well as for others.

"We have done the best we can. I do apologize to our community." #WRDSB Director Bryant (3/3)

[Waterloo Region DSB @wrdsb]

We feel by doing this, it will be a smoother start than it would have been if we stuck to a staggered start and found that things wouldn't work out, possibly. And that could have created more problems for our families and staff." (2/3)

[Waterloo Region DSB @wrdsb]

"We knew [a delayed start] would not be easy for our community when they heard about this change, and I do apologize for that. But at the same time, we really do need to ensure a safe, smooth start for students." (1/3)

[Waterloo Region DSB @wrdsb]

NEW: As we continue to prioritize the health and safety of our students, staff and families, we have decided to revise our staggered start schedule for the 2020-21 school year.

Pushing the #FirstDayOfSchool will allow #WRDSB staff to prepare and ensure a safe return. #WRDSBmtg

Premier @fordnation has just announced all Ontario schools, including #WRDSB, will remain closed for the rest of the school year. We have no additional details at this time.

We will update our #WRDSB community once we receive more information.

Happy #TeacherAppreciationWeek! Our schools may be closed, but we still thank all of the amazing teachers in @RegionWaterloo for their commitment and dedication as they prepare our children for a bright future. You are appreciated each and every day, online and off!

Hello @ednastaeblerps family. We hope you are all staying safe. We wanted to take this opportunity during #NationalVolunteerWeek to thank our many volunteers who provide support throughout the year.

[ESPS School Council @espsParents]

Hey @ednastaeblerps families, are you looking for something fun to do while social distancing. Our ward 2 councillor @RoyceBodaly has set up a community scavenger hunt that you can do while out for a walk. Check it out!!

[Royce Bodaly @RoyceBodaly]

@citywaterloo @ClairHills @LaurelwoodNA #Ward2 residents. If you're feeling cooped up and looking for something to do, I created a Ward 2 Scavenger Hunt. Take your kids for a walk, explore the neighbourhood and send me your pics (see my example) and I'll get you a prize! 1/2

If you're sick, the region is asking that you throw things like water bottles in the garbage instead of the blue bin. https://t.co/CTByabE5Ep
