Senate of Belize recently passed a new Fisheries Resources Bill in 2020! The bill ensures sustainable fishing and conserving coral reefs, mangroves & coastal waters. The bill also supports local communities with better food security & resiliency! @sarahwhipple15@kijikb#ess400
In order to make Belize more resilient to natural disasters, we need to protect our mangroves! Mangroves provide natural structure and can absorb the impacts of harsh storms. Belize has made a commitment in the NDC to protect them. @sarahwhipple15@kijikb#ess400
