TIL about "LittleLearner," an experiment where scientists deliberately kept an AI model in elementary school.

It's usually impossible to track how models like ChatGPT genuinely learn, simply because they've already seen almost everything on the internet. To tackle this, researchers built a dataset called LittleCurriculum, which strictly cuts off all knowledge above the 5th grade.

So they essentially turned an LLM into a l0li for science. 😭
