M 20 or Trifid Nebula for it internal shape of dark lanes full of dust. It’s an emission and reflection nebula where the emission is embedded in the reflection part. Therefore under pristine skies it not recommended to use filters, because the reflection part will be blended out.

@hajuem Das ist mir visuell schon in Namibia aufgefallen und konnte ich in Spanien mit kleinem Teleskop auch verifizieren. Das war wirklich überraschend. Ist eigentlich ein Objekt wozu man jetzt nicht unbedingt ne große Kanone für braucht.

@hajuem Wichtig ist tatsächlich, dass ich keinen Filter benutzt habe, denn mit Filter wird insbesondere der südliche Emission Teil deutlich kleiner, weil man offenbar dann die Reflektionsanteile in die Eingebettet ist „wegschneidet“.

@hajuem Tatsächlich muss ich sagen um das Ganze zu erfassen braucht man tatsächlich nicht unbedingt 25 Zoll. Würde sagen das geht auch mit 14 Zoll aber nicht von Deutschland aus. Von Spanien allerdings schon.

@hajuem Danke! Wollte ich noch dazu schreiben aber dafür hat der Text nicht mehr gereicht. Beobachtung war in Namibia. Mit 25 Zoll. Habe allerdings um das Ganze zu verifizieren. Im Oktober mit 14 Zoll in Spanien noch mal eine Nachschau gemacht.

@Diego_DA_AE Difficult to say but I think with 25“ inch aperture probably it’s possible to see the entire Bubble.

The so called “Bubble-Nebula” seen through a 20” Dobson from the isle of La Palma last December. No filter was used. Interestingly the whole Bubble could no be seen.

Moon & Comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS) over Griegos (Teruel). C/2023 is visible on the right just above the horizon on 1th of October 2024 (this morning).

Barnard 142 & 143 is a dark cloud in Aquila. The sketch shows the visual appearance of that beautiful nebula seen through my 4 inch Apo using a 3 inch 100° ES eyepiece.

Sh 2-294 is also known as the octopus nebula. Visually it’s not so obvious but a relatively large nebula can be spot with a 25” Newton without filters at 100x. UHC can be used to enhance contrast but is not necessarily needed. Finally I observed the nebula at 178x & 125x.

NGC 6563 is a small planetary nebula that shows some structure inside using a 25 inch telescope. Two stars inside the nebula itself can als be spot. 670x.
