In Iran if a 12-year-old girl is raped and impregnated by her father, she must carry the baby to term, or be thrown in prison for life. Wait, sorry, no. That's Mississippi.
What happened in Tennessee is the latest example of a broader erosion of civility and democratic norms. Silencing those who disagree with us is a sign of weakness, not strength, and it won’t lead to progress.
This nation was built on peaceful protest. No elected official should lose their job simply for raising their voice – especially when they’re doing it on behalf of our children.
Three kids and three officials gunned down in yet another mass shooting.
And what are GOP officials focused on?
Punishing lawmakers who joined thousands of peaceful protesters calling for action.
It's shocking, undemocratic, and without precedent.
Overturning Roe and outlawing abortions will never make them go away.
It only makes them more dangerous, especially for the poor + marginalized.
People will die because of this decision. And we will never stop until abortion rights are restored in the United States of America.
Republicans contend that a 12 year old is too young to talk about sexual orientation and gender identity, but not too young to be forced to give birth from a pregnancy as a result of rape.
Do I have that about right?
To be clear: If you make under 400k, my Build Back Better Agenda won’t raise your taxes a cent.
Not only that — you’ll get a historic tax cut, and see lower costs on things like child care and health care.
And all of it will be paid for by the wealthy paying their fair share.
It's hard to find child care. If you can find it, you might not be able to afford it. If you can find it and afford it, there might be a waiting list 8 miles long. As a country, we need to invest in universal child care so we can build a future for every family.
I just want to have the same level of confidence that a boomer does when speaking to ANY customer service rep/server when they want to make a complaint. 😂😂
