October 2016 marked the beginning of the #AnglophoneCrisis People went out for a peaceful protest but were sprayed with bullets. Mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers and children were killed. People are still dying everyday 💔
There couldn’t have been a more better timing for this year’s #WorldEnvironmentDay.
Right now, I’m in Ghana with the Climate Beyond Borders Caravan team, planting mangroves, visiting conservation sites, government officials, and speaking with primary school children and traditional leaders about climate action from the ground up.
From the coastlines of Benin to the communities across West Africa, we’re proving that real climate solutions start with people, especially women and youth taking bold, collective steps.
What are you doing today to protect our planet? Drop it in the comments and let’s grow this movement together! 🌍🌱
