The AVID program is a college readiness system designed to help students prepare for and succeed in the future. AVID focuses on providing the skills, knowledge, and support needed to thrive in rigorous coursework, improve their organizational skills, and develop self-advocacy.
Congrats to the team who competed in the Project Citizen Competition! Our Stars took home the People’s Choice Award for their portfolio & the top honor of the best portfolio in the state. Their portfolio will now represent Arizona at the national competition later this year!

Thank you to the 6th graders who participated in the on-campus tours yesterday! Almost 600 students rotated through 9 stations celebrating what our middle school offers to each scholar. Over 100 of our leaders of clubs and activities led the color coded groups. #oneteamunafamilia

Today, we celebrated International Data Center Day powered by 7x24 Exchange. Thank you to the Arizona Data Center Alliance for sponsoring our event. We learned about careers and opportunities with a variety of companies including ABB, OVERWATCH, QTS, CompuDynamics and AFCOM.
The softball team took the field for their first game and played very well against Madison #1. While the 8 to 6 score is recorded as a loss, these scholar athletes showed up and played a quality game. Thank you for coming out to cheer them on! Next game is 3/20 at Traditional.
Yesterday, our scholars discussed college and career pathways in engineering. They researched how to design and build leprechaun traps using cardboard engineering techniques. You can use a variety of scrap materials and get creative to try your luck to catch your own leprechaun!
