The Word of God is certain. I used to undervalue it, but recently I find myself criticising everyone around me. “The heart of man is desperately evil” hits differently now.
Watch your circle. Sometimes the people closest to you can bring you down more than strangers.
Chike, i believe you are an Igbo man hence from an Igbo people perspective, it is not enough to go about asking people on social media to pity your life after sleeping with another man’s wife. A real Igbo man admits his wrongdoing and faces the husband and family with humility.
Go with your family elders or respected mediators to seek reconciliation. Offer the necessary apology and whatever restitution Frank Edohe’s tradition demands -whether drinks, fines, or other symbolic items. If the family believes cleansing or reconciliation rites are needed, do them without pride. Most importantly, publicly promise never to repeat such an act again. After that you can now come to us here to ask for pity.
That is how honour is restored, not by seeking sympathy from the public. My little advice
Enyeneka, take heart. Nobody truly knows what happens behind closed doors in a marriage except the two people involved. But one thing I know is that no man deserves betrayal, especially after you reportedly tried to address the situation peacefully.
The internet will always
Choose sides, but pain remains pain regardless of who is involved. Those rejoicing in another man’s heartbreak today should pray they never face such betrayal themselves or see their own brothers endure it.

Alexx Ekubo’s absence online since December 2024 now makes so much sense. Life is truly fleeting.
Makes you wonder how many people stayed close when he went silent, compared to the many condolences pouring in today.
Rest well, Alexx Ekubo.
