Elect someone who has a heart for the people.
I'm a grandmother in California using my little microphone to maybe reach and motivate 20 voters in New York who were going to sit this one out.
Your vote matters to us all.
Change is contagious.

Today is the New York Primaries where multiple figures are looking to upset the establishment much in the same way that Mamdani did a year prior. This time, the establishment doesn't have the stink that Cuomo did. Will they succeed. #nyc#politics#news#vote#nebraska
The city of Lincoln has been sued by Mike Hilgers, the Nebraska Attorney General, over its recent minimum wage increase that was inline with the original Ballot Initiative. #politics#news#nebraska#lincoln#omaha
Tomorrow, democratic socialism is on the ballot. All across the city we have a chance to send new leaders to Albany and DC to tax the rich, block the bombs, and build an affordable New York for all.

I do not want DSA to split. The majority of the masses and local cadres of the organization do not want it to split. If it does, so be it, but we should not actively work to destroy our own organization. This does not serve the working class movement.
happy juneteenth to EVERY black musician that paved the way for every musical genre, style, technique etc. that have been used throughout history by non black people but have never been recognized as black creativity!
All I gotta say is a politician or platform that unabashedly runs on giving black people their due reparations will never leave behind anyone. It's why being pro-black is so important to the evaluation of politicians' character.
On June 19, 1865, African American communities in Galveston, Texas, finally learned of their freedom from slavery — two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation took effect.
For 161 years, Juneteenth has been a day of remembrance for the freedom that was delayed. It is also a celebration of the joy and resilience that flourished despite that delay.
The contributions of African Americans, whose struggle for freedom shaped our nation, are immeasurable. Yet too many Black families continue to bear the brunt of an affordability crisis that has pushed them out of the neighborhoods and communities they've built.
True freedom has a tangible impact on daily life: the ability to afford housing, earn a living wage, put food on the table, support a family, and create a future for generations to come.
As we celebrate today, we must recommit ourselves to ensuring this freedom is fully realized.
Happy Juneteenth, New York City.
BREAKING: United Auto Workers today passed a resolution at its convention, 321-287, to divest from Israeli bonds.
With nearly 400,000 members, UAW becomes the largest US union to officially divest from Israel.
The vote received support from a range of sectors, including a large number of Michigan auto delegates, in addition to legal services and higher education.
The original call for divestment came from a wildcat strike of 2,000 mainly Arab American workers at Chrysler’s Dodge Main in 1973. Amid the genocide in Gaza, pro-Palestinian labor groups and UAW locals renewed and intensified their campaign.
Speakers motivated for the resolution by citing the union’s legacy of divesting from South African apartheid in 1978.
And another thing:
I don't give a single flying fuck if someone did or didn't pay for diapers. COPS SHOULD NOT BE SHOOTING AT PEOPLE OVER PETTY THEFT. EVER!
