For me, unrequited love doesn't work for ZoLu. Zoro is so down bad for Luffy that there's zero possibility of him falling for anyone else, while Luffy thinks Zoro is so cool and always wants to be around him/have his attention. They are each other's person.

@katsuwindzats That sounds so sad. 😭 I would accept misunderstandings but in the sense that they are both bad at recognizing signs—like Luffy asking Zoro out, but Zoro tells him they've already been dating for two years or something. The whole "I thought we were already dating" scenario. 😂
