@For_Macragge It's like they took all of the detail that was supposed to go to the leg armor and gave it to every other piece of armor. With the Emperor's budget, you'd think his bodyguards could afford nicer greaves.
@AlexArmoury The player is instead the Necron Overlord commanding their underling to operate a vehicle, but the average Necron is a bit slow both in mind and body.
@AlexArmoury For the Necrons, they might just need to cost a lot because I don't see many flaws except maybe being slow. A weird way of balancing could be the control scheme of Necron vehicles acting more like an RTS because you're not playing as the pilot/driver.
@AlexArmoury A team-based War Thunder-esque game would be pretty nice. It could have a points system to maintain balance. As an example, Marine vehicles are scarier to deal with individually, so the Guard gets to field more vehicles or can die more times before losing a match to compensate.
@AlexArmoury The speeders are definitely aircraft but the lower flight altitudes, the relatively slow speed, and the ability to hover in place makes them more like helicopters than jets.
@AlexArmoury GW doesn't really take advantage of the superhuman biology of an Astartes when it comes to piloting because 40k as a setting and a game just doesn't focus on air combat that much compared to ground battles.
@AlexArmoury That I'm aware of. If the game's set in modern 40k, it'd be nice if the marines got a new jet since the Primaris get all sorts of new equipment. Something like the flying brick aesthetic of a Foxbat/Foxhound that looks like it produces a dangerous amount of thrust matches well.
