This is a strange argument for me.
There’s obvs no disputing our players beat other teams on the pitch.
The argument is we were able to afford to buy better players.
So are these ex-players arguing that their clubs should have spent more, to replace them with better players?
@Etihad_Stadium Never seen a fan base as arrogant and deluded as you lot. Most other clubs fans would be disappointed in their own club and owners for putting them in this position. But again, you know already that cheating was your only way in, and you willingly became fans.
The 99 treble was the greatest moment I have ever experienced as a Utd fan, if I woke up this morning and found out that Utd cheated during that period to win it, I would be mortified. I most certainly would not be saying “they can’t take that experience away from us” because they can. The present moment always defines the past and the present moment has defined City’s greatest moments as a fraud. The history they cling to will ironically haunt them forever.
When Rodri puts you 1-0 up in the Champions League final with 20 minutes to go but you remember Gareth Barry was paid an extra £20k in 2009 so it doesn’t count
