In https://t.co/woMhQpCfeu, we simulated Type Ia #supernovae in an analogue of our local large-scale structure. I recently made the #simulations more accessible on https://t.co/LuSfr3Pyt0 with a short visualisation and a notebook: https://t.co/HzJ8qyKuF4.

🇧🇪 Glad to have had the chance to meet the CURL group at UC Louvain today! A sunny day filled with great discussions. #Cosmology#Einstein#Telescope#Belgium
The latest Cosmology Talk is a guide to Intrinsic Alignments.
(IA are the tendency for galaxies near to each other to have aligned shapes & spins, due to their local potential)
The speakers wrote a very nice written guide & now there is a video version!

The cosmic web leaves a mark on visible matter through subtle correlations involving galaxy shapes. How do we quantify these "Intrinsic Alignments"?
For the long answer, see “The IA Guide”, now on arXiv! For the short answer, keep reading. https://t.co/Hrbs4NIbZh
Many thanks to the amazing committee: Alkistis Pourtsidou, Matthew Hayes, Thomas Bensby, Chad Finley and Tim Linden, who made this day one to remember! #PhDone@TheOKC@Stockholm_Uni@Fysikum
🌌PAPER DAY! We jointly constrain the 3D large-scale structure and photometric redshift PDFs. We infer all high-order statistics, cosmic filaments and reconstruct the structure formation history.

@irinakitop I'd say during the first years of a PhD "my" contributes to a welcoming environment. Towards the end of a PhD, I'd go with "our". The latter also for a postdoc.
