Within the framework of the HRSN, four officers from theHRSN | EU PSA Training
Four GNR officers participated in the EU PSA Training in Brussels (2–6 Feb 2026), reinforcing advisory expertise and EU best-practice exchange.

HRSN took part in the Military Academy’s VIII Security Seminar on UAVs in operations, sharing lessons learned and ongoing C-UAS capability development, strengthening alignment between internal security and defence.

High-Risk Security Network web conference: Working Groups presented results from the Portuguese Chairmanship, strengthening coordination and protection of high-risk public spaces across Europe.
The HRSN took part in a technical meeting convened by the European Commission (Unit D.2 – Counter-Terrorism) to support the upcoming EU Action Plan on drones and C-UAS (Feb 2026).
Focused on prevention, detection and response to drone threats, strengthening EU internal security.
12–14 Jan 2026 | Lisbon hosted the HRSN WG2 Workshop at GNR Intervention facilities.
Past 2 years reviewed, ongoing work aligned, and next steps set to strengthen UAS & C-UAS capabilities for public space protection.

First Responder Tactical Training for Kenya’s Security Forces
Between Dec 15–19, HRSN took part in a First Responders Tactical course at the Guardia Civil Rapid Action Unit (Logroño, Spain), under the EU Public Spaces+ project.
International cooperation that delivers results.
On 17–18 Dec HRSN took part in a workshop on Explosive Trace Detection equipment being trialled by Polish Police across the national rail network
Experts from law enforcement EU bodies industry and partners shared practical experience to align capabilities and improve detection
HRSN met with the Public Spaces+ project leadership at Guardia Civil La Rioja to coordinate training and capacity building for Police Forces in Ghana, Kenya, and Senegal. Discussions covered the HRSN framework, expert selection, review of the First Responders training package
🛡️ On 9–10 December, Brussels hosted key HRSN activities.
WG1 reviewed ongoing work and set priorities, reaffirming the need for harmonised approaches in risk assessment
The PSA Hostile Surveillance subgroup aligned current trends and future work with WG1

The Steering Group met in Albufeira from 26–28 November to review ongoing work, analyse current challenges and align priorities for the next cycle.
