Today was likely my last session on @ArkansasHouse floor as we wrapped up the Special Session. For the past 16 years I’ve had the honor of representing El Dorado, Union Co., and South Ark. I’m proud of the work that we’ve done and thankful for the friendships I’ve made. #arhd97
Today, we honor the memory of the lives lost on this day 23 years ago. We also recognize the bravery of the first responders and the resilience of our nation.
Hey @united sitting on a hot plane in Little Rock. 30 minute delay and pilot hasn’t informed us what the delay is or what to expect. Information is helpful
“The Anxious Generation” should alarm every leader in the nation, which is why I sent @JonHaidt’s book to every Arkansas legislator and US governor.
Here are ideas to get us started:
•No smartphones before high school
•Phone-free schools
•No social media before 16
•More outdoor play
I am proud that Navy LT and Mrs. Ridge Alkonis will be my guests for the State of the Union.
Ridge was unjustly imprisoned by the Japanese government for 507 days after they denied him access to an attorney and a translator and coerced a confession. I started working with his incredible wife Brittany last year to push the Administration to bring him home.
I’m extremely proud of the Alkonis family’s service and sacrifice– they are the personification of the need for stronger Status of Forces Agreements.
