Keto diet (2014), intermittent carnivore diet. Radically changed my life; went to medical school to see why there is so much disinformation. Not medical advice.
I recorded a ton of info after going from keto to pure carnivore diet. Below is the case report for that experiment. I did great on meat (mostly beef), salt, and water. Rapidly lost a ton of weight despite not really being overweight.

@whitfieldlewis6@ScottAppliedSci Exactly, but there are a ton of people that say the lower the LDL the better for everyone. This is the closest I can find, but this doesn’t really say that at all. You have to have some kind of low-grade inflammation for the statin to work.
@SBakerMD@FoodLiesOrg I seriously don’t see how we climb out of this. Most people I know don’t see any of this, and it seems like the more educated they are the worse off they are.
@whitfieldlewis6@ScottAppliedSci 💯 even the lipid scientists know this. They openly publish data that suggest this, yet still promote the idea that the lower the LDL the better for everyone. I can’t figure out the leap they make…. (For example: https://t.co/DiQDxwubbV)
If your cardiologist tells you to stop eating red meat because it may or may not raise your LDL minimally (it lowers LDL in some), ask him if he wants you to stop your SGLT-2 inhibitor because it might increase LDL 🤣
@PatsyDiabetes@SBakerMD America hasn’t been healthier! I look and I see tons of people eating Mediterranean pizza and living it up. This new fad will keep people pumped full of nutrients, ready for any upcoming famine!

@TaraBull In order for the hourglass shape to be attractive from a biological perspective, a future/hypothetical fetus has to be able to fit into the middle of the hourglass.
@whitfieldlewis6@MasalaFry69@MarkBski Yes. My colleague has a prior MI s/p PCI. So for him the meds might be a good idea. But not the vegan diet (although lately I think he eats a little meat). Getting fat as fuck is a risk factor with a higher hazard ratio.
@MasalaFry69@whitfieldlewis6@MarkBski I think probably, as well. But we need to see what happens! It’s sad that gaining a ton of weight is OK because his LDL is 13. And I heard him tell a poorly controlled T1D coworker to take a statin (no word on glycemic control). Yes, these retards are eroding patient trust!
@MasalaFry69@whitfieldlewis6@MarkBski In a free country, we are free to do as we please. I have a physician coworker that keeps his LDL 10-20 range. He gained a ton of weight eating plant based and takes 2 potent lipid lowering meds, but again, he is a big boy (no pun intended).
