I'm a solo developer living in Germany, I recently released an iOS app called nawana. A language learning app that you practise speaking with a fluent version of yourself. Please check it out!

Love this. I went down the same road and ended up building DeskSquat, but the webcam counts the reps because I cheat otherwise. Funny how many of us are solving the same desk problem. ๐๏ธ๐ง๐ปโ๐ป

@DannPetty I think I caught something about you healing. Hope you're doing better, man.
This is the thing now, right? We just build what fits us, and if it helps, we share it. Same story here. I built mine because I sit all day and never move. :)
Looking forward to the next update on yours.

I built a Mac desktop app to help me heal.
Every 30 minutes this little character pops out, starts the music, and does squats and jumping jacks.
Built him in about an hour last night and y'all, I still can't code.
8 hours chained to a desk. I kept saying I'd work out. My back gave out first.
So I built a desktop app that gets me up every 45 minutes and counts my squats through the webcam. It waits when I'm in a call. Nothing leaves my Mac.
Today's goal: 100. Who's in?
I'm a designer based in Germany.
I built a small space for people who study, work, and build things alone at their desks.
You know that feeling at a cafรฉ or library โ when knowing someone is quietly there beside you somehow makes work easier? I wanted to bring that to the web.
I don't have many followers here, but I hope this reaches parents who want to be a little better than they were yesterday.
You can find the app on the App Store:
