As an advocate for dyslexia, I welcome the removal of 9% VAT on ebooks & audio books in #Budget2024

@paddydugganj The stat that jumps out at me in that really good article is that 84% of 8-12 year olds in Ireland have their own social media accounts!! I’m shocked & it’s only a few years since I had someone in that age bracket.

School Transport Temporary Alleviation Measure was introduced as a positive step to address the shortcomings around eligibility criteria. In practice though, it is not being applied to all pupils who meet the criteria. I asked for clarity on how TAMs are applied yesterday.

Finally clarification & confirmation from the Minister at this mornings meeting of the Ag Committee that derogation farmers in the areas in white which passed the criteria set by the EU Commission will retain 250 derogation
