Too many people hear a disabled person say “I can’t” and translate it into “I could if I tried harder.” They don’t hear inability. They assume we’re just unwilling. Those aren’t the same thing.
There's a huge myth that a ton of people are faking sickness for some social/financial benefit, but the reality is that most disabled/chronically ill people are actually pretending to be less disabled than they really are because that's what society wants.
@RadiowavesKing@catgirlprostate hey so (idk where you live) but in the US, for your whole body to be donated for research, your brothers grandma would’ve had to sign forms. now, if you’re an organ donor and your organs are deemed non viable, they can be individually sent for research. but not the whole body
I would say happy birthday, America, but unfortunately I love abortions and immigrants and public education and universal healthcare and Black people and the environment and not bombing children with my tax dollars.
@imfynerthanfyne just a couple weeks ago i accidentally buttdialed 911. like 5-10 minutes later i called them back and was like “hey i accidentally called you guys” and he was like “okay ill let the officer know” and that was it. i was literally so perplexed
@housewelf as someone who personally wants kids at mine but i helped plan one without kids. if you cannot make it because of that, they should be understanding. it’s not out of a place of malice. it’s their special day and they don’t want anything to take away from that (not saying you wil)
@pizzapiepyui the two have almost the exact same symptoms and both have no tests for it. but when a dr sees someone who smokes weed and is nauseous they just tell them that they have CHS. i got into arguments with drs because of how much they try to tell me i have CHS solely because i smoke
@pizzapiepyui hey just to let you know CHS is widely used as a cop out diagnosis. definitely stop smoking and see if that helps. but if you continue to be sick after 2 months of not smoking then it is not CHS. talk to your dr about cyclic vomiting syndrome.
