We also found that there is no systematic review of the financial interests of experts. We therefore suggested that
@EU_Commission asks candidate experts to complete a detailed declaration, including financial and family interests.
We found that, when assessing potential conflicts of interests of external experts evaluating projects under the European Defence Fund, @EU_Commission relies mainly on info submitted by these experts. We encourage it to proactively look for other sources.

We have asked both institutions to:
◾ promptly disclose legislative documents even if this leads to external pressure
◾ refuse access only in truly exceptional circumstances
◾ inform third parties who submit documents during law-making that these may be disclosed
We have asked @EU_Commission and @EUCouncil to improve compliance with EU case law on access to legislative documents.
Arguments relied on by both institutions to justify refusing access to documents have been dismissed by the EU Court (@EUCourtPress).
