🆘 They need urgent funds so they can use gas for heating instead of having to resort to burning all kinds of materials, the smoke from which can be lethal to him because of his severe asthma.
Please help get them the needed funds soon.
Today.
It should have been last week 🙏
"The situation is urgent to stand against political repression, not just for Gaza but the entire international left. If the Trump administration succeeds in getting their hands on Chambers, it will set a dark precedent."

Thank you, good advice and I fully agree. Fortunately, I did a lot of shoestring traveling in my 20s, spending 8 months-- Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, China-- in between years I lived in S Korea, and had some pretty extraordinary experiences, and then more after leaving Korea (that's when I went, via Tibet, into Nepal and on to India), and a lot of Europe in my university years (living in France my 3rd year made that possible).
That was before I got political, since then my travels have mainly been related to journalism.
One day, I'll see much more of Russia (I just need to get a Russian driver's license & vehicle, first).
Back in the 2000s, I was traveling in northern India and remember many of the guesthouses had "NO Israelis" signs.
Prior to that, in Nepal I had time to kill and decided to hike the Annapurna circuit (summit 5400m). I didn't have gear, but did fine carrying my own backpack. I did the circuit quickly, on my own.
There was a group of Israelis straight out of the army who also went quickly, but they had a porter to carry all of their excessive things. The Nepali porters are strong, but from what I noticed, they walk steadily, carry huge loads (usually wearing sandals) but not racing. The Israelis demanded their porter go as fast as they--luggage free--went on the trail.
The Israelis were pretty much hated by all of the hikers who encountered them, moreso by the Nepalis: people hiking the circuit generally stayed in simple guesthouses. The Israelis were known for trying to gouge the owners for the cheapest prices, also for being obnoxious & rude.
That was my first experience encountering Israelis, before 8 months of seeing their brutality against Palestinians in the West Bank, before 3 years of living in Gaza (& 2 Israeli wars on Gaza) under the savage Israeli death policies...

Reposting again because it should be understood that quite a number of people knew exactly what was going on in Ukraine (and Syria) - and those who have gone along with the lies and propaganda SHOULD NOT be able to plead ignorance. Same in Ireland on the Irish #TripleLock#NATO
U.S. mounted a violence coup in Ukraine in 2014, and there was warmongering John McCain getting off on it all, wringing his hands over the prospect of a war with Russia…
Jolani’s Syria has already sent 1,500 militants to Saudi Arabia, including drone operators deployed in Aden, according to Foreign Policy.
Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces are operating inside Damascus’s administrative borders.
Jolani's priorities...
I do not understand why relatively few people in the geopolitical analyst realm are making a big deal about the fact that Ansar Allah has, in crescendo, decisively defeated the combined forces of the Anglo-American empire and its vassals.
It is stunning.

This was a September 2022 day in which Ukrainian shelling of the very centre of Donetsk slaughtered 16 civilians, including two children, with 155mm NATO shells. In the span of just 5 days, Ukrainian shelling of the city centre killed 26 civilians, whose bodies--or parts of--I saw in the streets or burned out in vehicles.

@alfranken Why did we give hundreds of billions of our tax dollars to Ukraine when they were blowing up innocent people walking down the street in the middle of a city?
Who in their right mind would support this? https://t.co/cWlPkZHQrS
@suegrant54321 Thanks, Sue. He was also incredibly supportive, in spite of being very accomplished and obviously widely respected for his journalism, he was humble.
John Pilger. A truly remarkable man and a legend in the field of journalism, filmmaking and uncompromising in his search for truth. He is sorely missed.
The British army waged a war of terror in my country. They directed and sponsored, armed and then hid their proxy murder gangs like the Shankill butchers.
Your parachute regiment executed civillians, your SAS murdered unarmed men, your prison service tortured the innocent while your paramilitary police battered and humiliated an entire community.
It many not ne convientient to your old boys club, colonial narrative, but it was the British eho imposed their project on my clutch and people, not the other way around, you came to us.
In the midst of the current alleged Russian-American "camaraderie", let's not forget that the entire Ukrainian conflict ultimately stems from the actions of the United States.
Right now, they see that the hammer by the name of "the Ukraine," which they've been actively using to try and weaken Russia with, is not only worn out, but could also turn against them, and their interests in the EU, so they are trying, by any means necessary, to prevent that from happening.
During an interview, Amanpour thrust a photo of Aleppo boy Omran Daqneesh at Sergei Lavrov & implied Russia had injured him in a bombing?
There was no airstrike.
I interviewed the family. Amanpour? No.
... She wonders why she can't get an interview? 🤔🤡
Does Tucker really think we journalists haven't been trying to interview President Putin every day since his full scale invasion of Ukraine? It's absurd -- we'll continue to ask for an interview, just as we have for years now.
